Lani Candelora is a licensed attorney in the State of Florida. She practices in the areas of Wills, Trusts, Estates and Elder Law. Lani owns and operates The Law Office of Lani Candelora, PLLC, a solo law office, where she takes pride in connecting with each client personally and understanding his/her unique needs, concerns and circumstances. Lani is a member of the Florida Bar Association.
Lani is a 2002 graduate of Vermont Law School. In law school she was awarded an outstanding achievement award for holistic lawyering, a recognition for compassion and understanding in dealing with people. She has carried this compassion and concern for the human person throughout her career, spending nearly 15 years working as a legal analyst and lobbyist for various nonprofit organizations striving to improve the human condition. Lani has spent the last decade studying, lobbying and drafting legislation and tutorials on a range of elder care issues including advanced medical planning, elder abuse, health care proxies, advance directives and living wills.
Lani believes that understanding the law should not be reserved to a privileged few, and has accordingly shared her knowledge by teaching numerous business law courses to grad and undergrad students. She will answer questions in an understandable manner, and speak so that legal issues can be understood.
Lani and her husband live locally in Spring Hill with their four children. She is an active member of the community, serving as President of the Home & School Association at her children's school, playing an active role in her church community, and serving as a prison mentor for women inmates at the Hernando Correctional Institution. Her greatest joy is her husband and four children. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with family, watching her children swim competitively and boating in the beautiful Gulf of Mexico.
